March 13th: Oils + Salves
Want to learn how to make your own pain-relieving ointment, lymphatic massage oil, or skin-nourishing salve? In this class we’ll show you all the tricks and tips to make potent infused oils and salves at home. We’ll cover:
How to make infused oils with both fresh and dried herbs
The easiest way to create an ointment or salve
Preservation techniques to ensure your oils last
How to use a variety of different kitchen appliances (or none at all!) to create your infused oils
March 20th: Lotions and Creams
Making lotions and creams is easier than you think! You can create dupes of your favorite anti-aging, soothing, or emollient topicals for dry, sun-damaged, or mature skin. We’ll get started with the basics of cream and lotion making and then discuss various base oils to use and herbs that have a long history of supporting and soothing the skin. If your oil from the previous class is ready, you can use that to make your cream. You’ll learn:

March 27th: Dried Plant Tinctures
This class will teach you everything you ned to know to make potent, effective herbal tinctures at home. Whether you prefer traditional or or more scientific preparation methods, we’ve got you covered! You’ll learn:
Which plants you should tincture dried vs fresh
Scientific method for precise preparation
Traditional preparation methods, including astroherbalism considerations
What type of alcohol to use for different types of plants
Exploration of alcohol as a solvent
April 3rd: Fresh Plant Tinctures
This class will build on our dried plant extract workshop. We’ll go over best harvesting practices so that you can safely and mindfully harvest fresh herbs to tincture.
Which plants need to be tinctured fresh, rather than dried
How to determine the percentage of alcohol to use for different types of fresh plants and how to determine what the abv of your final product is
Preservation considerations to present mold growth on your tinctures
April 10th: Mushroom Tinctures (Double Extractions)
Creating a liquid extract from medicinal mushrooms requires a 2-step process to extract the water and alcohol soluble constituents from the mushrooms. If you’re already familiar with tincture making, this class will take your skill level up a notch and allow you to create potent tinctures from mushrooms like reishi and lion’s mane. We’ll cover:
Why this double extraction process allows you to extract the most medicinal compounds from your mushrooms
Clear, step-by-step instructions and tips to give you the confidence to make your own mushroom tinctures
April 17th: Non-Alcoholic Extracts: Glycerites, Vinegars, and Oxymels
If you love the convenience of tinctures but don’t love the alcohol, this class is for you! Learn how to create alcohol-free liquid extracts using glycerine, vinegar, and honey. A favorite for delivering herbs to kids as well as adults! We’ll cover:
Which bases work best with different types of herbs
Main differences between glycerites and alcohol extracts

April 24th: Flower Essences
Live class is in-person only and outside, weather permitting, all registrants will receive the class replay
While we often call on plant medicines to heal our physical bodies, they can also support the more subtle layers of our being. Flower essences offer this kind of support. They can help us make profound energetic shifts that allow deep healing to happen on an emotional or spiritual level.
